And yes! thats me!totally in love with this olive green jacket. And the day, I saw this jacket, I knew that I was going to write  this post. Men in uniform have always attracted everyone and has been used as a badge of honour for a charming personality but much hasn’t been heard about the brave women in uniform. They have always been an unsung hero. so, I dedicate my post to these unsung heroes( with special reference to Indian army)

Breaking the glass ceiling

The Indian Army  doesn’t allow women in combat roles  and combat supervisory roles like the Infantry, the armed corps and mechanised Infantry, rather support roles only though it has been agreed to allow them in combat role but at present its yet to be implemented.

women in the non-medical cadre, serve as Short Service Commissioned (SSC) officers and are not eligible for pension benefits. Even then we have some exemplary ladies to quote upon who have been successful in breaking the glass ceiling.

1. Priya Jhingan:  First Lady to join the Army as an officer.

My tribute to the Unsung Heroes:

Lets take out a moment to applaud the women in uniform. She looks tough , she is an epitome of bravery, she is leading from the front and ready to take the world by storm. You have given her a chance but she is there by choice.

Lets take a cue from her…pursue your passion. We are women considered as God’s best creation and we are equally passionate to pursue our dreams, lets pursue it in the best possible way.

Lets fight like a Women in uniform whether you are in uniform or not. You might not get a medal on your uniform for your good deeds but in real life medal comes in the form of smiles..lets spread smile.

And now you can widen your smile as the train moves to Moumita’s station who will enlighten you on “Is right to equality formulated in the truest sense in present sense?”, catch her onwww.socialdipper.com
